Tunde Oluwagbemiga Tewogbade, founder of the Tunde Tewogbade Foundation, was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, where his parents instilled in him the strong Christian values of faith, charity, and service. He began his education in Ibadan, attending Ebire Nursery School and All Saints Primary School. After secondary school at Methodist Boys High School and completing his ‘A’ Levels at International School Ibadan, he pursued higher education at Ogun State University before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1994. Today, Tunde is a seasoned Financial Underwriting Analyst with one of the leading Lloyds syndicates in London, bringing the same level of dedication to his professional career as he does to his charitable work.
Tunde is married to Olayinka Tewogbade, and together they are blessed with three children. Family plays a crucial role in Tunde’s life, providing him with love, support, and inspiration as he continues his journey of service. His dedication to building a better future for others is reflected in his family life, where values of compassion and unity are cherished.
Tunde joined Freedom Arena in 2009 and has since grown in his ministry. Under the mentorship of Pastor Debo Adegoke, he was ordained as a minister in 2013 and as a Pastor in 2016. Today, he leads the Young Adult Ministry at Freedom Arena’s The One Church, while also coordinating the Men’s Ministry. His passion lies in guiding young men and women towards spiritual maturity and success in their chosen fields.
Tunde’s deep passion for helping others, especially the less privileged, led to the founding of the Tunde Tewogbade Foundation. He believes that empowerment comes from providing opportunities and resources that enable individuals to lift themselves out of poverty. His foundation’s initiatives focus on offering access to basic healthcare, youth empowerment, scholarships, and educational support for indigent children.
Through the foundation, Tunde’s work in public service has provided critical support to communities, from setting up mini clinics to organizing youth workshops. His leadership extends beyond financial assistance; he focuses on long-term empowerment by equipping individuals with the tools they need for financial independence and personal growth. His commitment to social justice and community development continues to positively impact lives across Nigeria and beyond.
A proud son of Ibadan, Tunde remains deeply connected to his heritage. His roots in the Tewogbade Compound, Oke Odo, are a source of pride, and he actively participates in initiatives that preserve Ibadan’s rich cultural history. Tunde’s efforts to serve the Ibadan community, both locally and in the diaspora, reinforce his commitment to his hometown’s progress and unity.
